Happy Father's Day John (Gramps, Papa Dan and Grandpa Ed)

What an exciting day for John it was... well not really.  He ended up doing yard work and "pulling landscaping duty", but he was able to get out into the sun.

John's morning started out with Breakfast in Bed (eggs with spinich and salsa ala Madeline).

Then on to the gifts: New Carroll Attire to start a new career, and Bobby Flay grill tools and grilling cookbook.  Madeline said "daddy does all the grilling and it's harrrrrrd work, but he does a great job!"  So we thought we'd spice up his grilling experience.  Dinner was a COMPLETE SUCCESS!  The first two recipes we tried were FANTASTIC!!!

Happy Father's Day to Gramps - Hope he had a great day down by the boat!

Happy Father's Day to Papa Dan and Grandpa Ed - Hope you guys had a very SUCCESSFULL day on the course!

And a very Happy Father's Day to Jim and Glenn as well!  Hope you had wonderfully relaxing days:)

Picture Day!!!

Seems that we hadn't gotten around to 1 year pictures yet for Ms. Lydia, why not for 14 months???

Hard to believe that Lydia will be 14 months next week, and Madeline is 2 months to the day from her 5th birthday.

MY, MY, MY how time flies!!! Went for a run/walk this morning, and the Trace Adkins' song "You're gonna miss this" came on... and reminded me not to get so frustrated with the little things... they are only little once right....

Okay, easier said than done... today was a tough day... but tomorrow is a fresh start for everyone!!!!

Enjoy the pics!

Lydia loved her dress from Grant and Steph's wedding.... glad she got 2 uses out of it... before it goes into the PRINCESS bin:)

This bear was Lydia's best friend this morning...

The Blue Angels or the Park?!?!?

We decided to head down to the lakefront on Friday to watch the Blue Angels air show.... I am not sure what Madeline was expecting... but she was enthralled with the beach (cause she's never seen one of those before), the playground (cause she's never been to one before), and eating (cause she's so malnourished.)  [DISCLAIMER: see sarcasm above.]

The show was pretty amazing... it's pretty wild to see these beautiful fighter jets whipping through the sky, coming out of nowhere, and so synchronous!!! Wild!!!

When we asked Madeline if she'd enjoyed the show on the way home, she flat out said NO.

Guess there's just some things that get more appreciated with age:)  The girls both enjoyed the playground (that they'd been to many times before though.)  Thank goodness our Friday afternoon wasn't a waste!

The Many Faces (and personalities) of Lydia Jane!

Never a dull moment... laughing to crying... happy to pouting... sweet to devious! Never know what we're going to get!

How cute is she?!?!?! And notice how clean Madeline's room is in the background!!!!

Lydia thinks it's fun to roll around Madeline's dirty sheets!!! Yuck!!!

Laughing cause she realizes she's just made the sheets more dirty!!!!

Wondering how many more bunny grahams can she really shove in her mouth at one time!?!?!?

Congratulations... Class of 2023!!!

Sophia, Lydia and Madeline

This would be the classes of 2023 and 2027... WOW!!! That sounds crazy to me!!!!

The Last Day of 4K

Well, today was a big day for Miss Madeline.  She "graduated" from 4K. Mrs. Bushman and Mrs. O had a nice little ceremony and presented the children with certificates.  At this ceremony, the students all announced what they'd like to be when they grow up.  Madeline announced that she'd like to be a cheerleader.  No comment needed I guess.... Whatever makes Madeline happy, right?!?!?!

I made it through the day surpisingly well... until I came down stairs this evening to see my 4 year old sobbing... as she watched her "video yearbook" and saying how much she's going to miss Mrs. Bushman... then I lost it... my heart just broke. Thank goodness she'll be in the same school next year so she can frequently visit the 4k class.  She is very excited to get her turn to read to the 4K children....

Congrats Madeline!!!We are very proud of you!!!

Unexpected Fun is ALWAYS the BEST!

Crazy, crazy day... after a great morning at Betty Brinn Children's Museum with Auntie Amy (planting flowers, digging for worms, eating dirt cake, and playing in all the new exhibits), the day just got more exciting.

John helped Gregor move... many happy wishes to him as he ventures to New Orleans on Monday... it's bitter sweet.

After the move taking longer than we'd planned, we had to cancel our trip to Neenah for our dearest Caitie's graduation party... CONGRATS GIRL!!!  I remember when you were in 8th grade watching Madeline (at 6 weeks old)... my, my, my how time flies! Now you're off to college... so glad she's heading our way (Concordia University.)

Then, we get a call from Chad and Missy saying they'd be in town... and a lunch date turned dinner date turned PJ party... was a blast... love watching the girls play together!  We had so much fun!!!!  Thanks for the visit!!!

Congrats to Caitie... Best Wishes to Gregor... Gutbrods - See ya in a few!!!

The Koshuta Family

Our fam... I suppose the days of having us all "LOOK AT THE SAME TIME" are over for a while!

The Koshuta Family

Our BEAUTIFUL little flower girl!!!

The Wedding of Grant and Stephanie (Tolander) Zielinski

What a wonderful weekend it as for  wedding.  We travelled to IOWA to show our LOVE and SUPPORT in the marriage of our cousin Grant to his BEAUTIFUL new bride Stephanie.

The weather was GORGEOUS!!!! Hot and sunny to be exact.  Everyone looked fantastic, and it was so nice to see everyone have such a wonderful time.

Madeline was so excited for her role as the flower girl.  She did a fantastic job!!! But, I must admit that I bribed her with a Barbie... that bribe cost me $30... yikes!!!! Guess there's always a lesson to be learned.

Madeline and Lydia both enjoyed dancing and being dressed up in their BEAUTIFUL princess gowns... our girls.... what sweeties!!!!

It was finally nice to meet Grant's cousins from "the other side" after all these years... Brittany, Travis, and Emily.... too funny!

Very fun to have all families united and "partying" together.

Congratulations to Grant and Stephanie Zielinski!!!!!

Here's the link to wedding pics... enjoy....
