Trick or Treat - Smell My Feet....

We started out our morning with church and a yummy birthday brunch.... yum, yum.... thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!
Today was trick or treat. Madeline was very excited to walk in Greendale's Halloween Parade. Very fun. Not sure who ever decided that it was a good idea to dress up their dog, but there were quite a few.

Madeline was very excited to be a cheerleader and Lydia dressed up as a pink FIFI poodle.  Both had a blast.

Madeline was able to walk in the parade with Auntie Amy and Nunna and meet Lydia and I at the end.  I didn't think Lydia would be able to walk the entire route.

We ventured around our court, down the block and to a few choice neighbors.  It was a beautiful day - chilly, but sunny and nice!

Enjoy our pics.  Madeline had so much fun passing things out to our passerbys... I think she had more fun doing that, than trick or treating itself.  She also saw some of her classmates!  Very fun!

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa Mittel

Madeline was on "vacation" from school for teacher's convention this past Thursday and Friday.  We greatly enjoyed a visit from Grandpa and Grandma Mittel (from Eagle River.)

Grandma and Grandpa took us out to dinner to celebrate my birthday.  We made the trek to Lake Geneva to Ryan Braun's Tavern and Grill.... yum, yum, yum!!!!  Glad Grandpa was with us to answer Madeline's questions as the fire alarms went off and the firemen trekked through the dining room:)  Thank you, thank you... very fun and yummy!!!

Daddy and his girls at Ryan Braun's Restaurant
While Grandma and Grandpa were here, we ventured to the Milwaukee Public Museum for a little fun in the Streets of Old Milwaukee, the European Village, the Butterfly Exhibit, the Chorus of Frogs exhibit and the mummies:)

Grandpa also helped John complete our shed that has been in progress for about 3 weeks.

The girls love our new shed... and it won't even fall over on them:)

Fun with Cousins...

Dan and Jen Elko invited us over for dinner last Sunday... and promised to have us home before the Packer game Sunday night.  They broke that promise, but we had fun anyways!!!!

Madeline and Lydia had a blast meeting their cousins (Zoe, Sam and Ben) on daddy's side:)

Dan and Jen decided to make homemade pizza.... which was fantastic!!!  Thanks so much for the hospitality.

Madeline performed in her FIRST DRAMATIC REPRESENTATION at the ELKO home as well.

Thanks for the hospitality Elko Family.  We had a great time!

Fun at the Packer Game

John and I had the opportunity to go to the Packer-Dolphins game a few weeks ago.  FOR FREE..awesome!

We were able to do a quick tailgate with Mom and her gal pals.

Too bad the Pack couldn't seal the deal!

Enjoying the Summer... oops... Fall weather!

What a most beautiful week this has been.  Gorgeous!  Couldn't ask for much more.  We've spent so much time outside.

We've embarked on erecting our new shed.  The frame is laid:)  A little each day.  It will be so fun to tear down the old one.

We've enjoyed a couple of bonfires this week, one with all the neighbors, and last night with neighbor Joanne and Auntie Amy.  It was FANTASTIC!!!

Today, we continued to putz on the shed, and enjoy the beautiful weather outside... and ejoyed visits from Nunna, Papa Dan and Gramps!  It's always fun to have vistors:)

Enjoy!

Community Open House at the Greendale Fire Station

Had a great time with the girls at the Greendale Community Open House last weekend.  Madeline wanted to go back, even after just beign there two days prior for a field trip.  They made quite the impression on her.

We got to meet the firedog, climb up in the fire trucks and even spray the fire hose!  Fun afternoon!
